Thankful That He Never Left Me

When I was a little girl, I knew God. He was a power that gave me power, made me smart, and calmed my fears. All through high school, through great grades, good relationships, and His shelter from craziness, His presence was real. When I got saved, He endowed me, though I thought I was suppose to share this allegiance with the church. Through a trying marriage of almost 15 years, He sustained me. I learned that when I looked to Him more or less (for whatever reasons) I am His and He would never leave me. When I thought it was Him, when I wasn’t sure, and when I knew it wasn’t but tried to do what was best, He was still there. Today my understanding has evolve a lot but one thing I know is that I am sooo thankful that in my freedom, He is always there guiding me, strengthening me, or just sheltering me until I see His pathway. I am never out of His reach. And though many have their opinions of what I do (and it wavers according to who is judging it *interestingly*), what never wavers is His Love, Support, Wisdom, and Closeness toward me. Gratefulness is flowing from my heart …
